The university where I study (UCI) purchased two for another graduate student and myself last fall. We used them reliably for about two months and then one of them started spitting ``U''s all over the screen after about 10 minutes of operation. We returned it to Anchor Automation for repair and in about 2 weeks it came back. After subsequent use the problem reappeared. It has since been returned again. The second modem also developed some difficulties; it began to refuse to make a connection. It has been returned as well. All in all, the modems work fine when they work, but the degree of down-time brings the time working to about 60% or so. A disappointed user. --Jeff Schlimmer
