I have been told by several people that, although not exactly the same, they contain the same fundamental concepts (i.e. event driven, same type of window actions, etc). I would like to evaluate exactly the portability question by obtaining a manual for GEM and any other related manuals. Unfortunately, after talking to Atari, they only bundle the manuals with the software packet. I think this is quite unfair and am unwilling to shell out $300 for said packet of software. I don't even have a machine to run it on. I am wondering if there are any other people out there who have this information who would be willing to send me a copy (of course I will pay for costs) or at the very least give me some helpful insight into how GEM works from the programmers point of view. -- Damon Scaggs {ihnp4,akgua}!sol1!lmef!damon
