Well, I wasn't planning on doing so, but here are a few things about
the Amiga:

  The main processor is a 68000. It has chips to do all the graphics
stuff and all the sound and also large memory moves. The chips along
with the drive access the memory directly sparing the processor from
any tedious work.
As for the graphics, it supports 8 16-pixel-wide sprites that can
apparently be any height. If you want more sprites, though, the graphics
chip can "simulate" sprites so you really have as many as you want.
It has 4 resolution modes: 320x200, 320x400, 640x200 and 640x400.
In the low resolution modes, you may have up to 32 different colors
on the screen with 4096 different colors to choose from. In the
high resolution mode you may have 16 different colors out of the same
set of 4096 colors.
The sound chip supports 4 voices and it can play several instruments
on a single voice. Also, the atricle I read mentioned something about
being able to play a sound into the thing and have it be able to
mimic the instrument.
The operating system is called AmigaDOS and is supposedly somewhere
between MSDOS and Unix. It can also do icon stuff like the Mac, but
they claim that you can unplug the mouse, throw it across the room,
and still be able to do everything you need. AmigaDOS, incidently,
was written in C which is obviously available for the Amiga. There
are also two versions of BASIC for it including a new version of
Microsoft basic that is supposed to be better than any version that
is currently out now.

I hope this has satisfied your appetite for Amiga info for a little
while. All the info I have came out of COMPUTE!'S Gazette which should
be on the shelves in a few weeks.
