Summary: 


I am interested in writing an application program for the Macintosh
which would heavily rely on graphics and user interaction (not a game).
However, I'm not sure what sorts of languages are available and what
control they provide the programmer over the machine.  If anyone
could recommend a version of either Pascal, Modula 2 or C and
remark on its capabilities, it'd be greatly appreciated.
