Out of this action, many articles entitled "MacDev #2 part 4 missing please repost" have been posted and sent around the world. To me, this is very silly!!! I originally posted the item, why not tell me that there has been a problem. I could then send you a good copy on a reliable path. I see no reason for the whole world to pay for a message that could better have been sent by mail! As a poster to USENET, I take responsibility for the stuff I post. If it gets mangled, I am willing to field requests for it's reposting, as well as making any mods that will make the items repostable. My next beef is that the articles requesting reposting are being sent to net.sources.mac. That is not what that news group is for. It is for *sources* (or binhexes) only. Please keep it that way. I read net.micro.mac as does everyone who posts to net.sources.mac. Please direct reposting requests to the originating poster and if that is not possible, post the request to net.micro.mac. All of these reposting requests are screwing up my archiving of good Mac postings. They also cost ($$$) money to send around the world. ***FLAME OFF*** I have found the Mac postings on USENET a valuable source of programs and information. I would like it to stay that way. When so much of the stuff on USENET is junk these days, it is nice to have at least one (or two) news groups worth reading. Please limit the reposting requests to mail only. Thanks, George Erhart ATT-NS/Bell Labs {cbosgd,ihnp4}!cbdkc1!gwe PS. If your site is one of the net news truncators, please bug your news administrator into putting up the latest (2.10.2). These kind of bugs make life harder on everyone, especially the extra money it costs to send reposting requests and the repostings themselves.
