Posted to net.sources.mac is a utility program, "SelectPaint" I wrote to 
allow me to transfer full Command-Shift-3 MacPaint Documents to MacWrite and
MacDraw, via the Clipboard.  Also I allow the user to make a selection 
of part of the full 512 by 342 bitmap, many times too large for MacPaint.
