In today's (7/19) NYTimes business section, Bill Lowe of IBM is quoted
as saying that the touted PC II is "a mythical product.  There was no
PC II when I got to Boca, and there is none now.  These reports have 
disrupted our business, retailers' business and even competitors'
business and customer planning."

I guess all those beta units described in the rumor mills are all
figments of the imagination as well.  Unlike Lowe's warehouses
full of non-moving PC's and XT's.  :-)
