I'd like to get my old 3Com ethernet card to run but can't seem to get any documentation on writing device drivers except for the standard terminal, line printer, and disk driver examples. How do I allocate buffers in the kernel? How can I do block moves to and from user space? I'm tempted to forget about the old 3Com card and switch to the newer one where I can do all my buffering on the card. Any suggestions? Any pointers? Robin@medtech, are you listening? Thanks, alex (phillips@lll-crg.ARPA)
