Message-ID: <446@moncol.UUCP> Date: Mon, 5-Aug-85 00:29:17 EDT Article-I.D.: moncol.446 Posted: Mon Aug 5 00:29:17 1985 Date-Received: Wed, 31-Jul-85 08:15:26 EDT Organization: Monmouth College, West Long Branch, NJ 07764 Lines: 25 Early last week, I called 1-800-GET-COKE to find out when Classic would be available in my area. (I was told to call my local bottler.) I was then for my name, address, and phone number so they could "log the call". Seeing no problem, I obliged. A couple of days ago, my mother answered a call from Coke. The person at the other end said that they were calling to verify the information I gave. Somehow this seems a bit excessive. I mean, a phone call from Georgia to New Jersey to verify an address????!!! I know that a number of you have also called Coke, so I was wondering: Have any of you also been called to verify your address? Thanks in advance... -- Name: John Ruschmeyer US Mail: Monmouth College, W.
