The lighter, sweeter smell of New Coke makes it very easy to detect, even in double blind tests. Pepsi also has a very distinct aroma. If you dilute hot colas with lots of ice, the task becomes a bit harder. However, if you want to pass the test, insist on the dregs of the can which have warmed up to room temperature. Old Coke and New Coke can easily be discriminated on this basis as well. dya
