This would add a really interesting twist If you go back and watch the movie again, you should realize that Kyle is the father of John Conner. When Kyle talks about John's birth, he says that his father was unknown, but later when Sarah stops at the gas station to get her picture taken (the same one that Kyle has) she is pregnant with John.
