Well, just after posting the above message, I called
EMI-America in Los Angeles [Phone # (213)461-9141]
and they gave me the following U.S. release dates:

The single "Running Up That Hill" -  Weds., August 7th
				     (to radio stations EARLY)

The album "Hounds of Love" - Friday, September 13th
		   	     (Which is BEFORE the English release!!!)

Apparently, EMI has arranged a huge Kate Bush convention
in New Orleans and is going to fly all the staff in from
all over the country to hear the new album as a "preview"
and so they will also know what they are promoting!

The woman at EMI said "It's a REALLY big thing...."
