Six ladies who've dubbed themselves as The Mint Julips. Twelve cuts recorded live at The Shaw Theatre and not anything that even resembles a loser in the bunch. This is some fine, HARD CORE doo-wop. A mix of oldies and newies. As fine a bass singer as one could hope to hear and very soulful harmony. They've cut Ben E. King with their rendition of Stand By Me, but they are all worth many listenings. Hats off to the English. It's on "Stiff Records" but I can't locate a number. William D. keeping the "sound" alive
