August 17-18 will be the first annual Adirondack Folk Music Festival
in Gloversville (near Amsterdam) NY. Sat. will feature performances
and workshops in dancing (clogging, contra, square) and Celtic,
old-time, and jugband music. Performers will include the likes of
Doc and Merle Watson, Jay Ungar, Lyn Hardy, etc. A children`s area
will provide entertainment for kids. Sat. night and Sunday will
feature jam sessions for the performers and attending musicians.
Camping and other accomodations are available. Tickets at the
gate are 15 $ for adults (less for kids) or are available in 
advance by mail for 12.50 $ for adults (forgot what kids are, but
again, less). Send postal money order (by Aug. 1) and any questions to:
