Message-ID: <11649@brl-tgr.ARPA> Date: Wed, 17-Jul-85 17:24:08 EDT Article-I.D.: brl-tgr.11649 Posted: Wed Jul 17 17:24:08 1985 Date-Received: Fri, 19-Jul-85 03:06:56 EDT Distribution: net Organization: USAMC ALMSA Lines: 18 Regarding the proposed group clean-up: Maybe this would also be a good time to integrate "net.info-terms" and "fa.info-terms". Why should these two groups be separate? Why can't there be a two-way gateway between the ARAPNET Info-Terms mailing list and "net.info-terms", the same way as there is for "net.ham-radio" and "Info-Hams", or other similar situations? Is there some historical reason for keeping these two separate? I looked in the bimonthly newsgroups listing and see no special notes about them; they just have the same description. It would benefit participants on both the ARPA and Usenet sides to have the info interchange freely. Is there a gateway maintainer out there who can provide reasons for keeping the status quo? If not, can this change be added to the package? Regards, Will Martin UUCP/USENET: seismo!brl-bmd!wmartin or ARPA/MILNET: wmartin@almsa-1.ARPA
