I think that creating this newsgroup IS a big mistake - for the simple
reason that there has been no significant traffic on net.ham-radio of a
packet nature for several weeks now, nor has there been much if any
traffic on the packet-radio mailing list.  Why do we need another empty
newsgroup?

Not to mention that the length of the group name is enough to break older news
software (maybe breaking it is really a good thing....).
