Just out of curiosity, where was the discussion leading up to the
creation of this group?  As I recall, there was never agreement
to discontinue net.general.  There seem to be a lot of sudden
newsgroup creations going on by the "wizards."  However, I really
don't feel that we (putting myself in the wizard group for now)
have any more right to do that than anyone else.  This sort of 
behavior, however well intentioned, could be the beginning of the end
of even a modicum of order on Usenet.
