Looking at some of the names/titles posted, following also come to mind .. Just like S. Radhakrishnan, K. M. Munshi (Bhavans Institute, Bombay) has written extensively on Indian philosophy. Another genre of fiction belongs to Jim Corbett- populated with tigers and hunters in the Sunderbans. For Anita Desai fans, her latest- IN CUSTODY was reviewed in TIME (Jul 1), "compassionate, comic" summer reading ... And lastly, SIDDHARTHA by Herman Hesse (not as good as his GLASS BEAD GAME).
