On the subject of high temperatures and house pets, can anyone tell me of
the effects of high temperatures on domestic birds?  I own two ringneck
parakeets, an African and an Indian, and I live in an UN-air conditioned
apartment.  Are there any measures I need to take to keep my birds cool, or
should I assume that, as tropical birds, they can tolerate the heat and
humidity with no problem?
