From a description I read of the main detector on the Proton-Antiproton Collider at CERN (_The Particle Connection_ by Dr. Christine Sutton), it doesn't seem it would pinpoint the moment of creation to better than a few microseconds. Is this true? Are there detectors with a better timing mechanism?
