Re the adoption case involving a Dorchester, MA couple mentioned
yesterday in my posting:  today's (7/25/85) Boston Glob said that
the biological mother claims that her relatives didn't reject her
son, she has wanted for some years to have him adopted by relatives,
her California sister has sought adoption for years but had deferred
to relatives in the northeast, the state only had partial custody of
the child, & that the foster couple's contradicting claims are false.
The state agency has corroborated the fact that the mother has retained
parental rights (thus the child's not free for adoption) and that she
has sought to place the boy with relatives.
