Hartford, CT Lines: 17 I recently read _The_Mind_Game_, by Norman Spinrad. It was one of the best novels I have ever read. I highly recommend it to anyone over the (mental) age of eightteen. The story concerns a man whose wife joins a fringe religious group (like the Scientologists, Moonies, or whatever) called the Transformationalists. He then joins the group to try to get her out. More than that I won't say. I noticed that the copyright date is 1980, but there is no indication of any previous publication. Does anyone know if this is a reprint; or if not, why the old copyright? I can well believe that there were problems finding a publisher; the Transformationalists are pretty clearly based on the Scientologists. They were even founded by a science fiction writer.
