Isn't this the essence of > puppy-dogism? To a certain extent, this is true. On the other hand, I think it upholds my original claim, that people are sufficiently different that some would find this appealing, some would not. Actually I think it depends a lot on the situation. Every once in awhile, you meet someone who is just somehow magically appealing to you, or who acts like you are to them. This happened to me not too long ago, in fact, when I encountered someone (again, strangely, in another sandwich shop) who for no explainable reason acted as if she had known me for a long time. She also seemed really familiar to me. I don't know why this is, but I would certainly like to meet this mysterious person again. I suppose other people might be intimidated by this same situation. I think that's just one of the problems of applying principles universally to everyone. However, you must remember that my anecdote was from long ago; I certainly doubt I would do that now. >> Well, being a shy person back then, I actually tried neither, >> and instead one day after many tries just merely gave her a flower. > >Excellent idea! In fact, Eric Weber suggested this in one of his books >(I'm not sure if it was _How_to_Pick_Up_Girls_, he wrote several books). Well, I doubt I would do it because it said to in a book with a title like that! However, I guess maybe Eric Weber just had a proper appreciation for flowers. -- Shyy-Anzr: J.
