Co., Inc., Everett, WA Lines: 13 Yes, I have had similar experiences. The first relationships I entered after separating featured women who had several distinct similarities to my former wife. They also had many distinct differences. At first I didn't realize it, but after I noticed I figured it might in part be caused by a desire to stay within my "comfort zone". By seeing a women who resembled (physically or personally) my ex I was making a strange situation (going out with a new person) less so. After 6 months or a year this all wore off - I'm free!
