Yes, what does the net think of asking people out in public? (where "asking out" refers to asking for the first date, or marriage, or some other major step in a relationship, not just a 'everyday' date with your regular SO) I prefer to ask (and be asked) in private, rather than in public. Seems like there's less chance for embarrasment/ hurt feelings in private. A: "Hey Cutie, whatcha doin' tonight? How 'bout dinner?" B: "Sorry, I'm having dinner with 'C'" < kisses 'C' > A: "Oh." < slinks away red-faced > D: "Gee, I thought everybody knew about you two, 'A' is *really* out of it!" the gang: yeah!
