Why do I have to ski in the first place? Something inside of me says "SKI!" and I do it. There is no basic purpose here. I won't die if I don't ski. I could die if I do ski. So why do I continue to do it? Because I enjoy it. And that is why women like to spend money and time on fashions. Be- cause they enjoy it. The fact that I buy skis that are good skis is totally beside the point. I don't have to buy the skis at all! I could stop skiing and save myself $3000 a year and most of my winter weekends. But I'd be terribly depressed all winter long without my skiing. And lots of women would be pretty depressed if they had to wear khakis all the time. The basic permise that seems to elude you is that it's their time and their money and it gives them pleasure. Why do you insist on insulting them for this? Sharon Badian ihnp4!mtgzz!seb
