No, it was not an attack on hobbies as such--but a lot of people out there have been regarding getting involved with helping others (whether on an interpersonal or international scale) as a dirty word!! I can't understand this at all. I try to achieve a balance between engaging in relaxing hobbies (roller skating, reading) and doing things that open my mind to what's going on around me.
