If it was, sorry, but it really hit me where I live, especially the first sentence and last paragraph. I don't usually read Ann Landers unless the headline grabs me (like this one did) but I may start. Someone asked her to re-run something she ran as a definition of love (I don't know if she wrote it or not): --- "Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing, and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. "Love is content with the present, it hopes for the future but doesn't brood over the past. It's the day-in and day-out chronicle of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals. "If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it's not enough." --- That last part sorta says it all, doesn't it? -King ARPA: ables@mcc UUCP: {ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!mcc-db!ables I thought I'd found the girl of my dreams Now it seems This is how the story ends She's gonna turn me down and say Can't we be...
