There is something about bringing back a catcher, too. I never heard the reason that Tony Gwynn was removed from the All-star game so early. I assumed it was due to an injury because I thought I understood the rule to be that all starters had to play the first 3 innings (except if injured). What exactly was his injury and was he hurt bad enough to miss any regular games? I also have a question about rules and another about scoring (I guess). Can a switch hitter switch from right to left or vice-versa during an at bat? Could it be anytime, never or only if a pitching change is made? Now for the scoring question. If a hitter has a hitting streak going and fails to get a hit in a tied game that is suspended due to rain, darkness, curfew or whatever, then a new game is started before the suspended one can be completed, is his hitting streak considered stopped? -- Roger Pannell ARPA: pannell%dosadi.DEC@DECWRL.ARPA, pannell%dosadi.DEC@Purdue-Merlin.ARPA UUCP: {allegra, decvax, ucbvax}!decwrl!rhea!dosadi!pannell
