There were some other stinkers, however. Consider, if you will, 'The Omega Glory' (by none other than the Great Bird of the Galaxy himself, Gene Roddenberry) and 'The Apple', which was a sordid attempt to be topical and include the prominent "issues" of the day -- barefoot maidens with flaxen hair flitting au-naturale about the ship and young men in their velvet prime singing protest songs to the accompaniment of that ever-present folk instrument, the guitar. Spare me! Oh, that I was too young in 1968 to be corrupted by all that, delights me to no end. R
