I am interested in taking a trip to Alaska in late August/Early Sep,
and would appreciate any/all information I can get on travel there.

I will basing operations in Anchorage - I have a friend that I can
stay with there.. I would like to know about places that are 5-6
hours drive from there that I drive to, camp out overnight, and
go hiking from, etc.
