OK, OK I'll talk. We lived in Billings, MT for several years and went to Yellowstone many times, although tried to avoid it during "the tourist season" (summer). Yellowstone gets 3 million visitors a year (90% during the summer). What to do? Well, other than driving around and looking at the geysers, etc. Yellowstone is not that scenic (though not ugly, either). You can hike there, and there are lots of lakes. If you are interested in geology, the exhibits at "Quake Lake" (Hebgen Lake) are quite good, and describe an earthquake formed lake "made" in the 50's - a few miles west of the park. Lake Yellowstone is quite beautiful, although big for small boats (there are plenty of smaller lakes for that). I would recommend seeing the Tetons (I'm assuming you are driving in from the south). Also, don't (DON'T) miss the chance to drive the Beartooth Highway (as the locals call it), which goes from Cooke City, WY to Red Lodge, MT. According to reporter Charles Curault (and ME) it the most spetacular road in the US. A must. Weather? Could get up to 90, down to upper 30's. Probably expect a low of 48, high of 84. Could get some thunderstorms, but probably sunny. I know this doesn't help much, but the best time to see Yellowstone is by snow cat in the winter. You take the "cat" from Gardner, MT to the Old Faithful Lodge. You can stay at the lodge. The "cat" is run like a bus service (quite reasonable as I recall).
