Message-ID: <1752@reed.UUCP> Date: Thu, 1-Aug-85 17:50:50 EDT Article-I.D.: reed.1752 Posted: Thu Aug 1 17:50:50 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 3-Aug-85 10:26:49 EDT Organization: Reed College, Portland, Oregon Lines: 20 After many years of wishing, hoping, praying, I'm finally going to New York City! I would like some suggestions as to a fairly reasonable hotel in Manhattan, where to eat, what not to miss, and what to avoid at all costs. I'm mostly interested in theatre, classical music events and museums. I have some friends there who are classical musicians with the NY Philharmonic and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, etc. so I will get some suggestions from them, especially in the area of music, but I'd appreciate all that I can get. I'll be there from the 28th of Dec. through the 12th of Jan. I'll be spending the first week in Manhattan, and most of the second week in Conn. with a friend. Any suggestions at all (good restaurants, shops, what kind of clothes to bring, etc.) are welcome. Please respond directly to me as I don't read this newsgroup much. thanks - elizabeth g. purtell (Lady Godiva)
