At the end of the show that had the funeral and the Kate Martin retrospective, they showed a picture of the actress, her name, and indicated she had died. I think everyone that watches the show knew she had died anyway. The fact that they brought back some characters that had not been on in quite a while (an old Tara, and Dr. Tyler) indicates that they were not sparing expenses to write her out quickly. The sensitivity with which they handled her death should also account for something. My question is: Now that Kate is gone, who will take her place as the only truly decent and kind-hearted person in Pine Valley. Everyone else currently on the show has some skeleton to hide. Kate seemed to be the only one who was always good.
