i have a manual with my SL 2710 and I have not figured out
how to override the timer counter and get clock time during
operation of the VCR

i don't think it can be done, but I hope someone tells me
that I am wrong
 
it is fustrating as my optonica cassette decks that I have
had for years have a clock button that overrides the counter
and a timer
  
i find it interesting to note that the optonica cassette
deck had some very thoughtful designers in terms of the
timming and search functions available, esp. when you
consider its singularity as a product
