Does anyone have a library to *write* COFF (Common Object File Format)
files?  There is a standard library in system Vr2 (libld.a) that *reads*
COFF files.  It appears that all current programs, such as "as" and "ld"
that write COFF files construct the file on the fly.  This seems to
be a serious omission on the part of AT&T towards gaining greater
acceptance for COFF.

Any pointers appreciated.  If I don't find one of these beasts I am
going to have to write one myself.
