It seems that AT&T Canada could not believe that one had to wait a year to get DItroff. Neverthless, they were very swift to react. I am now holding a tape labelled DItroff. It arrived via air courrier, in no time. My sincere thanks to AT&T Canada for resolving what had become a very irritating situation. It seems that they do listen to user gripes, and do something about it. Very nice.
