Instead of putting memory in the printer, they use ram in the IBM-PC for bit map storage. I have seen it work with PCTeX and also with an Optical Page scanner that Microtek in Gardena CA makes. We are probably going to get one to use with PCTeX. Incidentally, PCTeX is working on a licensing agreement to supply fonts from the Metafoundry in Ohio with his system. Ted. -------
