If the gun is oiled with Breakfree CVP, and inspected once a month, don't worry. If the holster is elk lined or synthetic, don't worry. The humidity IS a CRITICAL variable. If you live by the coast (as I did in San Diego) INSPECT and oil once a week. The humidity can even wreck stainless steel. 2) The powder to use for the .357 is Unqiue. 6 grains and a 158 or lighter bullet work great. Be sure that your S&W does not have excessive for-aft cylinder play. Look for bulging primers. I hope S&W quality-control has improved since I last bought one. 3) If your group is low and to the right, adjust the sights, don't trust the factory. Find one load and stick to it.
