Nonte conducted tests with cast bullets and a CETME ( essentially a Spanish HK 91 ) with good results. The article is in one of Nonte's hard cover books on handloading. If I remember correctly, the powder which produced the best pressure curve with a 180 grain hard-cast lead bullet was IMR 3031.
