View, CA Lines: 16 Distribution: I need information about ranging devices suitable for robotics, that is, devices that allow a robot to measure the distance between itself and other objects. I have been using Polaroid's ultrasonic sensor, which has worked well but has not been totally satisfactory for a number of reasons. (Amazing the things that Polaroid develops. :-)) I am particularly interested in information about optical devices (which typically use infrared).
