(Besides, maintenance is hard; I no longer hang around computer centers that stock card boxes.....) The problem is this: the Allison IVs have upward-pointing woofers, which reflect sound off the wall behind the speaker. Most speaker stands I've seen are designed to tilt the speaker upward, which in turn would affect the way the woofers interact with the wall. Is this effect likely to be significant?
