The level meters don't show this, and this sound is barely audible during recording, even when there is no input to the deck. When this part is played back the right channel is pegged all the way to the left, and this "noise" is very loud. I'd like to know what is going on here. This only happens during recording only. Playback is still fine. The deck is a Sony TCFX6C. It is one of the first decks out with dolby C. The warranty ran out a while ago.
