I have the CBS version of "Wish You Were Here", and my copy doesn't have any more hiss than any other analog-mastered CD. In fact, it's definitely a lot quieter than Stevie Nick's "Bella Donna", as someone else has already pointed out. > A friend recently bought the same disks, but had different liner notes. > The WYWH disk had a completely different cover, while the Wall cover > was different in only a CBS logo on the back. So what gives? Are > there two versions of these disks? Don't know about "The Wall", but there's definitely two versions of "Wish You Were Here", one made by HARVEST, the other made by CBS (at least that's what the labels say). The HARVEST CD has a dark blue liner, with drawings of various machinery parts on the cover. The CBS CD has a light yellow liner with the picture of the guy on fire that's found on the LP. > My Wall disk lists "HARVEST" on the case as the label, I assume, whereas > the CBS disk is probably from CBS, right? Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men (or CD's, for that matter)
