If he says 58, you should see a big "58" on the display. Then in court, request the preceding 5 tickets as evidence. If the last 5 tickets the cop gave out were for 58, you probably have a corrupt cop that didn't reset the unit from the first speeder. Don't laugh at this trick, it's more common than you think. If I get one, I'll not stop at getting out of the ticket, I'll get a lawyer and nail the cop for as much as I can, up to and beyond his job.
