...is Manteca, California. It's in the San Joaquin Valley between Modesto
and Stockton. What's so strange about Manteca, you might well ask. I didn't
think there was anything strange about it either, until I came across
a package of "manteca" in my local grocery store. The contents of the
package? Lard.
