Discovery closed in to within 40 miles of Syncom 3 yesterday,
putting the satellite within sight of the astronauts, as its
crew readied for today's space repair walk.  If all the repairs
can be made today, Discovery will land at EAFB Monday morning.
If a second space walk is required tomorrow, the landing will
be before dawn on Tuesday.
