In one book (I think a Fantastic Four Annual or Special, perhaps about 2 years ago) he runs into the FF and of course there is a misunderstanding and Gladiator starts beating them up. Good old Reed figures out that there is no possible way Gladiator could do what he does physically and deduces that he must be doing it mentally. He then rigs up a device to fool Gladiator into believing that his powers aren't working. What planet did you say Gladiator is from? Is there some sort of Gladiator-ite that effects Gladiator the way Kryptonite effects Superman? Come to think of it, is there anything that slows Gladiator down?
