I believe the brand was "Dawn", but it was simply the one we had in the house when the aphids struck. The solution was very weak, about 1-2 tbsp. per gallon, and it worked like a charm! The little pests were dried up over night. Some returned in a matter of weeks when the deposited eggs hatched, but 2 or 3 applications over several weeks seemed to permanently eradicate the beasts.
