It appears to be a lot more flexible than last generation's 7220s and clones. The chip is an "Advanced CRT controller" (read Graphics controller) with some powerful primatives. I have Hitachi's #U75 handbook on the part; which I take to be the sole reference. I would like to interchange questions with other (potential) users of the part.
